Mud Level Grows for Big Sur Marathon's Annual Mud Run

January 5, 2009 from press release/Running USA wire (CA) More mud is on tap for runners in the 2009 Mud Run, an annual event presented by the Big Sur Marathon in cooperation with the U.S. Army Garrison-Presidio of Monterey and Cal State University Monterey Bay. The fourth presentation is slated for Saturday, March 28, on the former Ft. Ord lands in Seaside, California.

The original race was canceled last month just hours before it was to have started because smoke from wildfires created hazardous health conditions for runners.

Hasay & Haile Win Foot Locker Cross Country Championships National Finals

The runners competed under cloudy conditions with a slight drizzle and a temperature of 59 degrees.
