How to use Caltrack.com
by Larry Eder June 2006 Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin California Track and Running News
How to use a website? Are you serious? Of course we are. Caltrack.com
was started as the online partner to California Track & Running News,
way back in 1996! Take a minute and read what the publisher has to say
on some of the great stuff that you can find here!
What can you find at Caltrack.com?
Caltrack.com was started way back in 1996, when the web was in its
infancy. In 1998, when I purchased the print magazine, we just kept
on posting, mostly prep info and global track information, as that is
what our readers wanted. My, how times have changed! Now, in its tenth year, the website is your guide to the varied and colorful
athletic community in California and Nevada! As the oldest performance
running website and print magazine in California, our archives, of
results, stories on events, training information, and contacts for clubs,
stores and races in the Golden State should have your covered. One of our best deals is our free enewsletter, updated about 40 times a
year, with global and local running information, that comes free to your
email address, with just a bit of advertising. As you know, we do not do pop up ads, as we feel that they are insulting
to our community. We have free race result listings and race listings on
the site and we also give you a wonderful way to express your feelings
on our message board. We ask that you keep the foul language off and
over ten years, only a few people have forgotten that the web requires
us all to behave in a civilized manner. The caltrack.com site has its areas of interest down the left hand side of
the page, so take some time and find an area to explore! We also ask
that you support the 70 independent retail running stores in California
that we have listed on the site, who have given out our magazines for
years. Running in California is a community, and the people who administer
this site are coaches, former coaches, athletes and folks who love the
sport and the unique quality of athletics in the Golden State. We thank
you for visiting our site and we hope to see you at an upcoming event! For more information, please email us at
