AT&T Giant Race Date, Course Announced
Course to feature scenic San Francisco sights - SAN FRANCISCO - The 2010 AT&T Giant Race will take place on Saturday June 12, 2010, it was announced by Giants Enterprises. Featuring a half-marathon and the Plate to Plate 5K, both courses will start at AT&T Park and travel along the Embarcadero waterfront with the half marathon continuing through PIER 39, Fort Mason, and North Beach.

Record-breaking potential for Saturday night's distance carnival. - Stanford, Calif. - Stanford track and field will host one of the most elite track meets in the nation this Saturday, May 1, with the Payton Jordan Invitational. The annual meet attracts some of the world's top athletes, particularly for the evening distance carnival.
Despite Three Postponements, XTERRA Crystal Cove Sells Out
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. – The sold-out XTERRA Crystal Cove Trail Run welcomed 300 runners after being postponed three times due to rain. Sean Kievning and Caroline Gregory took home the day’s top titles.
XTERRA SoCal age group leader Kievning, 26, championed the main, 17K race in 1 hour, 11 minutes, 6 seconds, more than three minutes ahead of Matthew Michael, 40.
BIG SUR MARATHON WRAPS UP 25TH PRESENTATION
The 25th Presentation of the Big Sur International Marathon was a “double perfect” day, according to race director Wally Kastner.
The anniversary event finished nearly flawlessly with stellar weather conditions and a sold out field of 4600 registered marathoners. A total of 8,254 from a variety of distance events crossed the finish line Sunday.

Brendan Lunty, 31 of Camrose AB, the winner of the 2009 Regina Queen City Marathon and runner-up of the 2009 Mesa Falls and Haulin' Aspen Trail Marathons, won the 2010 Golden Gate Marathon in 3:11:06. Ben Cavazos, 50 of Virginia Beach VA, finished second in 3:38:31. Kevin Reese, 24 of Holmes NY, was third in 3:39:55.
In the women's race, Juliana Cremeans, 39 of Redding CA, was the winner in 3:42:50. Janet Demsher, 44 of Shasta CA, finished second in 3:42:50. Defending Champion Nicole Duke, 33 of Aptos CA, the winner of the Big Sur Trail Marathon, was third in 3:55:49.
Sallberg, Alonso Win Santa Anita Derby Day 5K

Moreland, Raitter Take Titles at XTERRA Chanoko Xduro
GRANITE BAY, Calif. – Folsom Lake set the stage as NorCal runners fought their way to the finish at the 2010 XTERRA Chanoko Xduro Trail Run on Saturday, March 27. Competitors ranged in age from 15 to 70, but when it came down to speed, Jeffrey Moreland and Sarah Raitter took the top prizes in the half-marathon distance challenge.
